How do points, levels, streaks, and badges work?
30-second answer
Earn points by posting, commenting, completing lessons, attending events, and helping others. Points → levels. Daily activity → streaks. Specific milestones → badges. All visible on leaderboards per-room and platform-wide.
Step-by-step
How points are earned
You earn points for things that show up in the community: posting, commenting, completing lessons, attending live events, getting reactions on your work, and being marked as the answer to a question. Exact point values vary per room — teachers can tune them for their classroom.
Check your full earning history any time at Points History.
Levels
Points add up over time. Hitting point thresholds bumps you to the next level, which unlocks badges and visibility on leaderboards.
Streaks
Log in and do at least one qualifying action (post, comment, complete a lesson) every day to grow your streak. Miss a day and the streak resets. Streaks earn bonus points at milestone days.
Badges
Badges are awarded for specific achievements: "First Post," "10 Lessons Completed," "30-Day Streak," etc. They show on your profile.
Leaderboards
Every room has its own leaderboard (weekly + all-time). The platform-wide leaderboard shows top members across all rooms. Your rank updates daily.
Things to know
- Anti-abuse caps: rapid-fire posting or comment-spam stops earning points after a daily threshold so the leaderboard stays meaningful.
- Day boundaries for streaks are UTC midnight — if you're traveling across time zones, plan accordingly.
