My streak broke for no reason
30-second answer
Streaks reset if 24 hours pass with zero qualifying activity (post, comment, lesson, event). Time zones can fool you — check Points History for the exact streak record.
Step-by-step
How streaks work
A streak grows when you do at least one qualifying action in a 24-hour rolling window. Qualifying actions:
- Post in a feed
- Comment on a post
- Complete a lesson
- Attend a live event
- React to a post (counts in some rooms)
Just logging in does NOT count.
Why it might have "reset"
- Timezone shift — if you're traveling, midnight rolls earlier or later than usual
- You did the action LAST night but the timestamp landed in the next UTC day — UTC is the source of truth
- The action was anti-abuse capped — capped actions don't count for streaks either
How to verify
Points History shows your streak record day-by-day. You'll see exactly where the gap is.
Recovery
Sorry, no recovering a broken streak — start fresh today and protect the new one.
Things to know
- Streaks count actions in any joined room — you don't have to be active in the same room every day.
- Day boundaries are UTC midnight, not your local midnight. Plan accordingly if you're traveling.
