How do courses and lessons work?
30-second answer
Each room has a Courses tab. Enroll → progress through lessons → optional quizzes → certificate at the end. Five lesson types: video, text, audio, PDF, quiz. Some courses are drip-fed (one lesson per day or week).
Step-by-step
Enrolling
- Open a room → Courses tab
- Pick a course → Enroll
- The course shows up under your enrolled list and progress tracking starts
Lesson types
- Video — watched on Cloudflare Stream, progress tracked by % watched
- Text — markdown, mark complete when done
- Audio — same as video, but listen-only
- PDF — download and read
- Quiz — multiple choice; pass threshold set by the teacher
Drip content
Some courses unlock one lesson at a time (daily, weekly, or on a fixed schedule). You'll see locked lessons with a "Unlocks on…" timestamp.
Progress and certificates
- Complete every lesson → course is marked complete
- Some courses issue a certificate (PDF) you can download or share
- Course completions show on your profile
Buying a course
Some courses are paid separately from your subscription. You'll see the price on the course card. Purchases are one-time and the course never expires.
Things to know
- Anti-tamper checks watch video progress server-side — skipping with the slider doesn't mark the lesson complete.
- Drip content can't be unlocked early without a teacher override.
