Mic or camera not working in a live meeting
30-second answer
Almost always a browser permission issue. Click the lock icon in your browser's URL bar → check that mic and camera are Allowed for aijunkiesuniversity.com. Refresh the page.
Step-by-step
Step 1: Check browser permissions
- Click the 🔒 lock icon to the left of the URL
- Find Camera and Microphone
- Set both to Allow
- Refresh the page
Step 2: Pick the right device
In the meeting's green room (or settings panel during the meeting):
- Microphone — pick the right input device. If you have AirPods, USB mic, etc., make sure it's selected
- Camera — same deal. External webcam vs built-in
- Speaker — output device
Step 3: Test
Most meeting UIs have a Test mic or Test camera button. Use it before the meeting starts.
Step 4: Operating system permissions (rare but possible)
- macOS: System Preferences → Privacy → Camera/Microphone → make sure your browser is checked
- Windows: Settings → Privacy → Camera/Microphone → allow desktop apps
Step 5: Restart
If permissions look right but it still doesn't work, fully quit your browser (not just close the tab) and reopen.
Step 6: Different browser
Chrome and Edge are most reliable. Safari sometimes needs a manual reload after granting permissions.
Things to know
