How do I join a live meeting?
30-second answer
From the event page or dashboard, click Join Live within the event window. Test your mic and camera in the green room first. Sessions auto-record and the recording shows up in the room library afterward.
Step-by-step
5 minutes before the event
- Click Join Live on the event page or dashboard widget
- Browser asks for mic + camera permission — allow it
- The green room loads — pick your mic, camera, and speaker
- Test audio and video; you can join with mic off and camera off if you prefer
During the meeting
- Raise hand to ask a question — the host sees it queue up
- Chat is in the side panel (text only, ephemeral)
- Share screen if the host enables it for participants
- Reactions are emoji-only and clear after a few seconds
Leaving
Click Leave to drop out. You can rejoin while the event is still live. The recording continues until the host ends the meeting.
Recording
- The session records automatically — no setup needed
- Once the meeting ends, the recording uploads to Cloudflare Stream (a few minutes for short events, up to an hour for long ones)
- The recording shows up in the room's Recordings tab as Unpublished until the teacher reviews it; you'll see it when they publish
Things to know
- If the Join Live button doesn't appear, the event might not be live yet — wait for the start time.
- Mic/camera issues are usually a browser permission problem. Check the URL bar for a blocked-permission icon.
