Community Guide
How we run things — guidelines, etiquette, and how to get the most out of the community.
Code of conduct: what's allowed and what isn't
Be respectful, stay on-topic, no spam, no harassment. Violations get warnings first, then suspension, then ban. Severe issues (harassment, threats, illegal content) skip straight to ban.
How do I post in the feed?
Open a room, click New Post at the top of the feed, pick a category (Discussion, Question, Win, etc.), write your post in markdown, and submit. Some categories are teacher-only — you'll see them grayed out if you can't post there.
When should I @mention someone?
Mention someone when you're directly addressing them or asking them to weigh in. Don't mention to summon attention to your post in general — it reads as spammy and people learn to mute mentions.
How do I ask a great question?
Lead with the goal, then the obstacle. Show what you've already tried. Pick the Question category. Specific questions get specific answers — vague questions get crickets.
How do I report a problem with content or a member?
On any post, comment, or DM, click the three-dot menu and pick Report. Pick a reason, add context, submit. Reports go to the room's teacher and platform admins. You won't hear back unless action is taken or admins need more info.
